Daniela Sánchez Martelo

Introducing Daniela Sánchez Martelo, a Colombian native who has journeyed across continents, from Bogotá to Miami, Madrid to Florence, and beyond. An Art History and History graduate from NYU, she has woven her passion for Art into a career in London’s vibrant Art scene. Now residing in Barcelona with her architect husband, Sebastian, she keeps her Colombian roots alive with frequent visits to her homeland, sharing its warmth and culture with her daughters, Violeta (6) and Candela Rosa (3). Daniela is currently involved in internationalizing her husband’s architecture firm, Mano Arquitectura, and crafting a unique jewelry line, De Profvndis, reflecting her diverse and dynamic life experiences.

What’s on your nightstand?

Magdalena, Wade Davis’s new book, is an anthropologist who has devoted his work to studying and traveling around Colombia. This work is about the history of our most important river, Magdalena, and how it shaped our nation.

What to listen to while commuting?

The Daily from The New York Times, Hubberman Lab, WRadio.

What to binge on a Saturday night?

Sex and the City, The Morning Show, House of Dragon, and I can’t wait for the premiere of Griselda.

Any family particular recommendation?

Baking cakes is a favorite family activity, Parallelo ice cream strolls, visiting Fundación Miró and MACBA, puzzles, and riding our bikes to the beach.
