Snapped by Mafer Navas

Through creative direction and styling, Mafer creates diverse and fascinating universes. This time, from her perspective and with a single lens, a disposable camera, she transports us to the city of Getsemani in Colombia, where she portrayed joy in movement, culture and color. The unrepeatable moments of Joy, are reflected in summer postcards that dance between rhythm, sunlight and everyday style.

  • Mafer invite everyone to take a walk through Getsemaní, in Cartagena de Indias, in the Colombian Caribbean, her homeland. The neighborhood of Getsemani is a place with a lot of memory, vibrant and colorful spaces, with joy in every corner.

  • A stop to taste its tropical delicacies. Here a juicy “patilla” (watermelon), and a classic “manguito” (mango) with salt and lemon, pure JOY to refresh the body.

  • A sultry sun, endless Latin rhythms in every corner, colorful houses, its flavors, smells and a lot of history.

  • Next stop, the heart of the neighborhood: La Plaza de la Trinidad. A hat is always necessary for this burning sun.

  • A tip from Mafer: practice a few dance steps with any dancer in the square. That's the best souvenir.

  • Mafer invited us to discover Getsemani through her summer postcards, together with her sisters Verot & Tere, Carlos, Malaber and Luisa.
